Pat Fox, Ph.D.
As President of the Board of Management, Dr. Fox provides the vision of eGG. Pat used her expertise in Adult Learning, many years experience in teaching adult learners from diverse populations, and, in particular, specialization in teaching critical thinking skills in an online environment to form the basis of eGG. Dr. Fox provided a needs analysis of young adults entering colleges without an active understanding or experience in the workforce who are unable to successfully navigate through the college system. This needs analysis identified the mismatch between high school competencies and capacities and those required to complete college programs successfully, from which eGG was born. Pat brings a wealth of experience in both instruction at the college level and mentoring college instructors to eGG. She has specialized in teaching both Art and Critical Thinking in face-to-face and online environments. We are especially thankful for the online mentoring and benchmarking programs she has previously established for online instructors. Dr. Fox believes deeply in individual creativity and the human potential. Pat has participated in a variety of living and academic projects that inspire others to become their very best. Pat lives in the country and hobbies in gardening and maintaining balance with the local environment. |

Margot Hovey, Ph.D.
Margot Hovey grew up in Montreal, Canada. Margot has worked extensively in the design and implementation of knowledge-delivery products based on the principles of adult learning for fifteen years. During this time, she developed methods, tools, and techniques for facilitating collaboration between software development organizations and their customers in the design and delivery of their products. The end result was the re-design of information and training products that mirror the environment of their audiences. But this was not enough... Margot noticed that underlying the technical nature of these facilitations were perceptions and attitudes of and about people that were rarely addressed. Margot has conducted research within organizations and with leaders to uncover the deep implications of the connections between people. Over the past 15 years, Margot has explored a broad range of methods to facilitate a human-centric approach to relations between advancing technologies and the ever-increasing need for deeper understanding between people. Margot has presented her work in conferences ranging from Performance Enhancements, Curriculum Design, and Transformational Learning. Margot’s Ph.D. specializes in changing human systems. Her dissertation is in the area Facilitation Techniques in Cultural Diversity. This workshop came out of extensive research that she performed on current diversity initiatives and directives. She found that many initiatives within this field help to maintain isolation and separateness. In response, Margot conducts research, facilitation, and training to bring people together by leveraging their differences. Margot is truly grateful to share this learning experience with you.
